Foster’s Boozy Recipe Feature: Bourbon & Blossoms

Ring in the spring season proper like and start putting flowers in everything.

It adds a little whimsy and just feels right as the cherry trees and backyard blossoms begin to bloom. This recipe is a take on a classic whiskey sour but adds a little pop of color and dry tart finish with hibiscus syrup. Why? Because sometimes we just wanna feel fancy.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon (your choice)

  • .25 ounce simple syrup (equal parts sugar and water)

  • .5 ounce hibiscus syrup (I recommend Wild Hibiscus but you can find many versions at your local retailer)

  • 1 ounce lemon juice

  • 1 egg white

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin with a couple ice cubes

  2. Make sure tin is sealed and shake the sweet bejesus out of it - watch some youtube videos and play with your form a bit - trust me, it’s fun

  3. Strain into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora

  4. Garnish with hibiscus flower
