In this next series, you'll hear from each of our teammates about their creative values and philosophy and why we feel so passionate about cultivating creativity in others.
“I believe art and creativity is as much or maybe even more about discovering than it is expressing.
The idea of expressing implies that you already know. I don’t know about you, but most of the time I’m trying to figure things out. Including what I know and how I feel.
I think that we’re all born creative and somewhere along the way we allow ourselves to be influenced out of it. When we’re children, we don’t hold the idea of “I can’t.” That comes later. It’s only later that we say things like “I can’t draw — I can’t sing — I can’t dace.” We allow the thoughts of others to dictate our actions, and in the case of creativity, perhaps even our own self discovery.
Being creative isn’t about anything other than you and yourself. If more comes of it it’s just the cherry on top of something already so sweet.”
